About AVLUX
AVLUX was founded in 2000 to provide comprehensive and user-friendly end-to-end Internet solutions for businesses and academic organizations. Due to his years of experience working in computer programming, Andrew vonderLuft was asked by some entrepreneurial friends about web hosting for their businesses. His research led to the formulation of the business plan for AVLUX.
“AVLUX” is derived from the Latin “Adventat Lux” — “the Light is coming.”
Andrew has been developing software since the mid 1980s. Being a linguist by nature and training, he has used languages ranging from COBOL to Ruby, and a lot of syntaxes in between. He was a core committer on the Radiant project. Being a scholar of biblical languages and the classics, he derives particular satisfaction in helping academic organizations like BiblicalGreek.org, enhance their success through the Internet.
